Senior Digital Analyst
About the role
We are part of the Product Analytics and Experimentation team within the Data & Analytics directorate of the Technology department. Our focus is to provide insightful and actionable data through reporting, analysis and experimentation, enabling data‑driven decision making across product teams.
Location: The position can be based in the head office in Welwyn Garden City or at the Digital Innovation centre in Farringdon, London.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Product Managers and Data Scientists to define objectives and key results, analyse product releases, validate hypotheses and recommend improvements.
* Execute end‑to‑end analysis: gather and shape requirements, define success metrics, identify and validate data sources and analysis methods, deliver insights and liaise with the business to ensure best recommendations.
* Own your work, demonstrating responsiveness, commitment and strong data‑based decision‑making skills under tight deadlines.
* Coach and mentor junior colleagues and peers, including direct reports.
* Use data from multiple sources to identify trends, uncover new opportunities and answer business questions.
* Represent the analytics team when needed, understanding the commercial impact of recommendations and insights.
* Identify unstructured problems, articulate opportunities for new analytics projects and incorporate external data (industry benchmarks) to add context.
* Follow the Business Code of Conduct, acting with integrity and due diligence.
Qualifications
* Experience in digital or product analytics roles.
* University degree 2:1 or above in a quantitative discipline or relevant experience.
* Commercial awareness and ability to influence without authority.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
* Proficiency in big data, business intelligence, data visualization and advanced SQL.
* Experience with ETL pipelines, data cleansing and advanced online data collection.
* Statistical modelling techniques and online data collection experience.
* Conceptual thinking across platforms (desktop, mobile, tablet) and channels (online and in‑store).
* Flexibility, ability to plan and organise, responsiveness, creativity and self‑starter.
