Be our Guest Experience Host but most importantly be you! Love variety? We have a new and exciting front of house role at Dukes. We want our people to be themselves and that means you. One hour you’re welcoming arrivals and nailing a smooth check-in, the next you’re recommending a hidden Bath gem, helping breakfast glide, or jumping behind the bar to shake an evening spritz. If you’re friendly, unflappable and up for “what’s next?”, you’ll fit right in.

Set in the beautiful city centre of Bath, Dukes offers our guests the chance to stay at one of the city’s most prestigious street addresses. This beautiful boutique seventeen-bedroom Bath Guest House occupies two magnificent Georgian Townhouses on Great Pulteney Street, one of the finest boulevards in England.

Responsibilities

* Working a variety of weekend and weekday shifts in this full-time role; you will be the personality our guests experience on arrival and departure
* Take care of the finer details by managing phones, inbox, bookings, pre-arrival notes; warm check-ins/outs and accurate billing
* Show our guests we care throughout their stay by answering queries, providing local tips, arranging taxis and dining tables; turn “any plans?” into “best stay ever”
* Some days you might be helping with breakfast: set, greet, seat, serve; keep service swift and sunny
* Other days you will be pouring wines/beers, mixing simple classics, and serving with confidence (training provided) in the bar or lounge
* Take care of admin when not face-to-face with guests—placing small bar/restaurant orders, receiving deliveries, keeping handovers clean, and doing other computer-based work
* Occasionally pitch in with housekeeping assists, set-ups for small events, and keeping the lobby tidy and welcoming
