Role: Accounts Receivable Specialist - 2 Months Fixed Term
Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA – Office Based (location subject to change due to planned office relocation)

About the Role:
Our Transactional Shared Services team is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join EG Group on a short fixed term contract for 2 months! The role will support the reconciliation of card payments and the resolution of payment discrepancies. It’s a hands-on position suited to someone comfortable working with financial data, communicating across teams, and managing workload within set timeframes in a structured finance environment.
If you're looking to build practical finance experience in a large organisation, this is a great opportunity to do so in a focused, short-term role.
What you’ll be doing:
* Using multiple sources to identify discrepancies between sales and card payments
* Releasing card payments where required from portals
* Communicating, reporting and tracking discrepancy resolution
* Reconciliation of card GL’s
* Posting ad hoc journals when appropriate
* Escalating any issues in a timely and appropriate manner

What we’re looking for:
* Working knowledge of MS Office products
* Strong analytical and numerical skills, supported by relevant education or experience
* A good communicator with the ability to present and explain financial information to all levels of management with a high standard of written skills.
* Good interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage workload effectively to meet agreed deadlines
