An exciting role has become available for a Field Service Electrician with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability within the Industrial Renewable Energy sector to cover the Hampshire, Dorset, Surrey, and West Sussex area.
Based remotely, the role involves working on-site, carrying out preventative maintenance, reactionary services, and ensuring specialist Power Units run correctly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Actioning a variety of onsite Work Orders including installation, de-rig, operation, maintenance, and changeovers of Power Units
2. Working on both AC & DC systems, including battery inspections and swap outs
3. Conducting electrical testing & inspection whilst adhering to reporting requirements
4. Production of relevant supporting inspection reports
5. Advanced fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems
6. Joining an on-call rota to action Emergency Work Orders
Your skills
The successful candidate will be a time-served Electrician with an ECS / JOB Gold Card, 18th Edition certification, and ideally have passed an AM2 assessment. Experience working with AC and DC systems, specifically UPSs and batteries, is required, along with good problem-solving and decision-making skills and accurate documentation skills.
You should demonstrate good theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Experience in installing and repairing electro-mechanical systems is essential, as well as a full UK Driving Licence and the ability to travel within the UK and internationally when needed.
This role involves light physical effort, including lifting or moving lightweight materials, using hand tools, and extensive movement around sites. You must pass a safety-critical medical assessment and be able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
