Role Overview
As Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead, you will support the delivery of the high‑quality care that Barchester is known for. Working closely with the General Manager, you will take on leadership duties in their absence, ensuring care standards, motivating your team, conducting audits, supervising clinical practice, and maintaining regulatory compliance. You will set the highest standards and develop strategies to achieve our goals.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE REQUIRES 2 SHIFTS TO BE WORKED ON THE FLOOR AND 15 HOURS SUPERNUMERARY.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and support to the multidisciplinary care team.
* Ensure care standards are met through regular audits and supervision.
* Monitor and maintain regulatory compliance.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve care quality and operational performance.
* Lead and manage safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
* Offer preceptorship to newly qualified nurses, fostering their development.
* Collaborate with HR and finance departments on budget management and staff recruitment.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration.
* Teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification.
* Experience supporting residents with diverse health needs.
* Track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
* Experience in HR, sales and marketing, and budget management.
* Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, resilience, and determination to deliver quality care.
