Your new role
As Head of Procurement, you will lead and optimise all procurement activity, with full ownership of large-scale spend and supplier relationships. This is a greenfield leadership role, responsible for designing and embedding procurement frameworks, driving cost-out initiatives, and delivering supplier consolidation across all categories.
You will manage executive stakeholders and tier-one suppliers, particularly across construction and technology biased supply chains. A core part of the role will be implementing digitised and automated procurement solutions, including AI and SaaS tools, to improveernance, visibility, and return on investment.
You will build and lead a high-performance procurement team, creating clear standards, career pathways, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Contract lifecycle management, supplier performance, andpliance with procurement policies and regulatory standards will sit firmly within your remit.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be an aplished senior procurement leader with a strong track record in high-growth environments. Experience in private equity-backed businesses is advantageous but not essential.You will bring:
1. Extensive experience across procurement leadership, strategic sourcing, category management, and supply chain optimisation.
2. Strongmercial acumen, with proven success in negotiations, cost control, and delivering measurable savings.
3. Experience designing and delivering procurement centres of excellence or new procurement teams.
4. A background in digitisation and automation, using technology to improve efficiency,ernance, and insight.
5. The ability to influence at executive level and drive cultural change across the business.
6. Excellent leadership skills, with experience mentoring, developing, and expanding teams.
Industry exposure within construction, energy, infrastructure, or rail is preferred. Experience within challenger brands, high-tech, or digitally led organisations will be beneficial. MCIPS and degree-level qualifications are required, alongside significant senior management experience.
