Since 1944, AD Construction Group has been a well-regarded refurbishment contractor delivering building maintenance services across the public sector, predominantly supporting local authority housing associations. With a reputation built on quality and collaboration, our close-knit team continues to grow from strength to strength—and we’re now looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join us at our Sidcup Head Office.
About the Role
As our Bid Manager, you will lead a small team of Bid Writers and take ownership of the end-to-end bid process. From planning and managing submissions to driving continuous improvement in bid quality, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping us win new business.
Responsibilities
* Leading and coordinating all aspects of selection questionnaires (SQs) and tender submissions
* Reviewing bid submissions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality
* Researching and producing compelling written content, case studies, and supporting materials
* Analysing client documentation and tender requirements
* Representing AD Construction Group at bidder conferences and dialogue sessions
* Building a strong understanding of our company’s experience, services, and unique selling points
About You
We are looking for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
* Significant experience in bid writing and tender management
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
* Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels
* Full UK driving licence (occasional site visits required)
* A-Level in English (or another writing-focused subject)
* Experience with a main contractor
* Knowledge of social housing/local authority sectors
* Degree-level education or business administration qualifications
What We Offer
* Competitive salary of £65,000
* Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (1-hour lunch) — office-based
* 21 days annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday off

* This role is based at our Sidcup Head Office
* As part of the interview process, you will complete an aptitude test
* You must have the right to work in the UK
* 9-month probationary period applies
