Are you a motivated engineer looking to work with cutting‑edge electronics in a world‑class motorsport environment?
We’re seeking a talented Electronics Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of the electronic and control systems that power our aerodynamic testing capability.
This is a hands‑on technical role, applying your expertise in embedded systems, firmware, and LabVIEW software to enable precise model control, real‑time data acquisition and reliable performance.
Working closely with colleagues across engineering disciplines, you’ll help ensure our wind tunnel continues to deliver accuracy, consistency, and speed when it matters most.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electronics Engineer within the Wind Tunnel, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of projects and technologies. You will:
* Development, maintenance, and support of new and existing electronic/electrical assemblies.
* Develop and enhance firmware for electronic assemblies.
* Assist with development of harnesses/wiring looms.
* Assist with data analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve faults.
* Support the production of electronic assemblies, including ordering BOM components and commissioning new modules.
* Document design processes, modifications, and testing procedures to maintain clear and accurate records.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate electronic systems with mechanical components and software, support for the development of new sensors/sensing techniques.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, technical and eager to learn. You should have:
* Experience of analogue and digital electronic design, schematic capture, PCB layout and processes involved with unit development/production.
* Experience of developing microcontroller systems for sensor data acquisition and processing.
* Experience in developing and debugging unit firmware.
* Knowledge of sensor design & signal conditioning interface designs.
* Knowledge of harness/loom design and assembly practices.
* Be proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet and drawing software packages.
