Consultant Gastroenterologist
Join to apply for the Consultant Gastroenterologist role at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Applications are invited from ambitious, enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly multi-disciplinary Gastroenterology Unit at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. The successful applicant(s) will support in the delivery of high quality, endoscopy care in an accredited JAG Endoscopy unit, undertake outpatient clinics, and inpatient care on our dedicated Gastroenterology Ward.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality endoscopy care in an accredited JAG Endoscopy unit.
* Attend outpatient clinics related to gastroenterology.
* Provide inpatient care on the dedicated Gastroenterology Ward.
* Participate in the GI bleed rota; no general medical acute on call rota required.
* Collaborate with a team of 10 substantive gastroenterologists.
Qualifications
* Broad‑based gastroenterology background with subspecialist clinical or endoscopy interests.
* Experience in luminal practice; HPB experience acceptable.
* Evidenced high‑quality clinical practice and endoscopy skills.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
