Looking for a new challenge? We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join one of the best performing Trusts in the NHS which is looking to develop and train their Pharmacy workforce.
Responsibilities
 * Assist in the smooth running of the assigned area of Pharmacy under direction and supervision of Senior Technicians.
 * Dispense medicines against prescriptions or requests and prepare over‑labelled packs for discharge.
 * Monitor workflow in the distribution area, issue stock medicines and provide a ward top‑up service to clinical areas.
 * In the Aseptic Unit, undertake tasks to assist in the smooth running of daily activities and carry out planned aseptic work under the supervision of Senior and Lead Technicians.
 * In Procurement, support all aspects of ordering medicines for use within the Trust under the direction of the Lead Technician.
 * Maintain stock using stock rotation and stock management procedures, and process medicines returned from clinical areas.
Qualifications
 * Previous experience of working in either a hospital or community pharmacy.
 * Minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy services or equivalent.
 * Exceptional candidates without this prior qualification may be invited to join as a trainee apprentice as part of our STEP programme.
