Homes for Students is the UKs leading independent provider of Student Accommodation.
We are seeking a dedicated Marketing Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day tasks within the department. As a key support member, you will collaborate closely with the team to execute marketing initiatives efficiently and effectively. You will be working full time 40 hours per week 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
You will assist helping us create and deliver our marketing strategy to support sales. Working close with the Marketing Executives, Senior Executives in both Campaign and Property Marketing Teams.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
* General Daily admin to be administered to ensure a smooth operation of the team.
* Able to create and think of detailed design briefs, to provide the Graphic Designers with ideas and content to produce high quality content across all brands
* Social Media Management, uploading daily content and being part of the social media working group
* To monitor and research our social media activity and our competitors and work with student properties to ensure we are delivering engaging material.
* Support the sales and marketing department by supporting with campaigns.
* Identifying & utilising the most appropriate marketing tools, services & agencies.
* To keep abreast of current trends in the student accommodation market and relevant competitors then upgrade or enhance the website content appropriately. Always suggest improvements.
* Work with all 3rd party suppliers to develop better working solutions and drive down costs.
* Use initiative in suggesting workable online campaigns or marketing actions that drive performance at our properties.
* Assist with tactical plans and explore new ways in which we can market digitally via social media, purchasing data and e-campaigns.
* Write and deliver engaging and effective online content, with USP’s and competitor detail in mind.
* Provide creative input for all campaign requirements.
* Maintain a commercial awareness and understand the marketplace.
* Comply with Health and Safety working practice in accordance with the company’s policy.
* To be flexible and work effectively with other colleagues.
* Infrequent travel is a part of this role, visiting our properties all over the UK.

Skills
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Must have very strong written English skills for content writing.
* Strong eye for detail.
* Experience with web, social media and email marketing campaigns.
* Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets
* Good presentation skills in PowerPoint or other.
* Ability to work as part of a team.

* Ability to present to stakeholders when required.
* Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
