About the Company:
We are working with a leading Facilities Management (FM) provider delivering hard and soft services to commercial clients across the UK. Due to growth, we're seeking a skilled Fabric Engineer to join their dedicated maintenance team.
Role Overview:
As a Fabric Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and general building fabric upkeep across client sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled professional who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality workmanship, and thrives in a client-facing role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform planned and reactive maintenance on building fabric and associated equipment.
* Carry out carpentry, plastering, painting, basic plumbing, and minor electrical works.
* Conduct site inspections and complete compliance documentation.
* Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
* Provide exceptional customer service and act as a trusted on-site contact.
* Support wider maintenance teams as required.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer or Building Maintenance Technician.
* Competent in a variety of fabric and basic building services tasks (carpentry, joinery, tiling, plastering, etc.).
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent trade qualification desirable.
