A confident, experienced and proactive House Manager/Cook is being sought for a family on a large Gloucestershire Estate.
This is a super opportunity for a dedicated individual to join this team on a long term basis to ensure the home is run smoothly, guests are welcomed, co-ordinate contractors when required, oversee the Housekeeper and take pride in running a home to a high standard. The position also includes cooking for the family when in residence, this is an important aspect of the job as they like to provide guests with delicious meals. Meal planning is key and you will be responsible for grocery shopping and keeping fridge and food cupboards stocked depending on how many family/guests are staying.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar position in a large home. You will need to be able to work independently but also communicate well with the family. Organisation is key and also being a team player who is not phased by a large home and being able to cook for large numbers at times. You accommodation will be a 3 bedroom apartment in a win of the main house but it is completely self-contained with your own garden. The apartment also has 2 reception rooms, kitchen, utility and bathroom.
