Fiduciary Project Accountant
Aon is currently recruiting a Project Accountant to join our Fiduciary Commercial Risk team. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chelmsford office. The Project Accountant will be primarily responsible for the delivery of reporting, analysis, technology and operational improvement activities, working alongside the Fiduciary Senior Management team and Senior Business Stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a central role in a key part of our business working closely with and gaining exposure to Senior managers and leaders within Aon.

What the day will look like
1. Delivery of high quality ‘best in class’ reporting and analysis for the Fiduciary Commercial Risk team
2. Support performance improvement across all Financial Performance Measures, linking in with other Aon teams where appropriate.
3. Support Senior management in relation to the delivery of business projects and initiatives, including the resolution of complex or problematic issues
4. Lead work to investigate, develop and implement operational improvements in the areas of technology (including automation), process and new products
5. Demonstrate ‘Aon United’ thinking by collaborating closely with key stakeholder groups (eg Financial Controllers, Finance Directors) and, where required, trading partners
6. Mentor and support junior colleagues, contribute to succession planning and talent management
Skills and experience that will lead to success
7. Experience of UK and London insurance market, ideally in Insurance Accounting or related roles.
8. Experience of significant / complex deliverables from both a process and a technology perspective.
9. Demonstrate a hands-on approach and be comfortable taking accountability for resolution of issues and delivery of objectives.
10. Analytical individual with an eye for detail and strong problem solving skills.
11. Ability to identify, engage with and handle partners at all levels.
12. Experience in developing effective working relationships across the market.
13. A recognised accounting qualification, or progress towards one, whilst not essential would be an advantage
