Synapri is partnering a luxury property and leisure company to hire a Senior Backend Developer for a full‑time role. The position focuses on developing, enhancing, and supporting a variety of products, and offers full autonomy within a small IT function across the backend suite. Proven experience delivering large .NET applications to production and extensive knowledge of .NET and C# are essential.
Salary: £80,000‑£90,000
Location: 5 days onsite in Central London
What you'll be doing:
* Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs using .NET and C#
* Providing solutions for a range of web technologies such as Next.js and React.js, and native app technologies including iOS and Android
* Contributing to system architecture discussions and solution design
* Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices
* Collaborating with frontend developers, QA, and product teams to deliver robust solutions
* Optimising performance and ensuring security across applications
What we're looking for:
* Strong commercial experience with .NET (Core/Framework) and C# including LINQ, JSON and Inversion of Control
* Solid understanding of API design (REST, GraphQL desirable)
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure)
* Good knowledge of software design principles (SOLID, clean architecture, microservices)
* Must have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of Event‑Driven Architecture, including the roles of APIs, Webhooks and Integration Platforms such as Zapier and make.it
* Understanding of the principles behind Infrastructure as Code (ideally Terraform) and its use in CI/CD Pipeline based deployment
* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
