Role: Condition Based Maintenance Manager
Location: South Coast, based within our patch in Kent, Sussex, or Hampshire. Remaining work from home. Driving licence is essential.
Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hrs, Monday - Friday
Salary: Up to £58K, depending on skills and experience
You will lead and manage a team of CBM engineers and analysts, ensuring proper training in reliability engineering, condition-based maintenance techniques, data analytics, and asset management best practices. Working closely with Reliability Engineers, you will implement condition-based maintenance plans, ensuring monitoring, assessment, and maintenance activities align with the overall strategy.
You will identify and deploy appropriate condition monitoring tools and technologies to track asset health, report KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance costs, and evaluate CBM strategy effectiveness. Using your experience in asset analysis, design, operation, and maintenance, you will implement predictive maintenance techniques, leveraging data analytics and statistical models to forecast failures and optimize schedules.
You will review performance data regularly to identify weaknesses and optimize the CBM program. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will implement cost-effective CBM strategies that comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. You will produce reports and summaries for senior management demonstrating CBM effectiveness, including metrics like downtime reduction, cost savings, reliability improvements, and maintenance efficiency.
To succeed, you should have strong leadership and management skills, proficiency in vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and familiarity with Reliability Analysis Techniques (RCM, FMECA), reliability-focused strategies, and predictive analytics, machine learning, and failure prediction models.
You should be highly organized, logical, and analytical, with excellent planning skills and the ability to manage your time effectively. As a confident communicator with an engaging style, you will be part of a new team, shaping effective CBM strategies and creating a team of route-based engineers dedicated to condition-based management, supporting our AMP 8 investment period. This role is pivotal in transitioning from reactive to planned maintenance management.
