Hays are working in partnership with a well-established NHS organisation in the Devon area to recruit an experienced Interim Management Accountant to support the finance team during a busy period of change and transformation.This is a key requirement, and prior NHS experience is essential to ensure you can quickly add value in aplex and regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and detailedmentary
6. Supporting budget setting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
7. Business partnering with budget holders and operational teams, offering financial insight and challenge
8. Assisting with statutory reporting and year-end processes
9. Supporting improvements in financial processes, controls, and reporting
10. Analysing financial performance and highlighting risks and opportunities
11. Ensuringpliance with NHS financialernance and reporting standards
About You:
12. Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
13. Essential: Proven recent experience working within the NHS
14. Strong understanding of NHS finance processes, systems, and reporting requirements
15. Demonstrable management accounting and financial analysis experience
16. Confidentmunicator,fortable engaging with non-finance stakeholders
17. Highly organised and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
18. Strong Excel skills; familiarity with NHS finance systems ( ESR, Oracle, or equivalent) is desirable
