Process Engineer, £35,000 - £45,000, Leicester, 4-day week
£35,000 to £45,000 salary guide (depending on experience) + company pension + 25 days holiday
Permanent day role. 35-hour week, Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:15pm
Established precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-quality components into aerospace, automotive and industrial sectors
Are you a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Production Engineer looking to play a key role improving machining and assembly processes within a growing engineering business?
Your background as a Process Engineer:
* Degree qualified in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering, or similar practical experience
* Experience supporting manufacturing or production processes within an engineering or industrial environment
* Strong understanding of process improvement, production efficiency and problem solving
* Experience working with machining, assembly or production operations
* Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
* We are happy to consider engineers who are 2-5 years into their career and looking to develop further
Process Engineer responsibilities:
* Develop and improve manufacturing processes to support quality, delivery, cost and safety objectives
* Support machining and assembly operations through process definition, tooling, fixtures and technical documentation
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction and operational efficiency
* Support NPI and DFM activities, including process development and operator training
* Analyse manufacturing workflows and production data to identify improvement opportunities
* Liaise with suppliers and internal teams regarding tooling, equipment and manufacturing capability
* Ensure manufacturing activities comply with quality standards and health & safety legislation
