We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Didcot. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their educational journey and helping them develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support children in Nursery and Reception. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting children’s communication, language, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional development.
You will support children through play-based learning, structured activities, and daily routines, both individually and in small groups. Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment will be central to your role, ensuring children feel secure and supported throughout the school day.
Observation and assessment will form part of your responsibilities, as you support the teacher in monitoring children’s progress and identifying next steps. You will also assist with preparing learning resources, maintaining an organised classroom, and supporting transitions, outdoor learning, and personal care where required.
Strong relationships with children, colleagues, and parents are highly valued. You will work collaboratively with the wider Early Years team to maintain high standards of learning, care, and safeguarding.
