Your Role
As the Head of Capability for Principal Design, you will:
* Provide CDM and BSA leadership across all design contracts.
* Lead the development and implementation of our capability growth plan.
* Collaborate with construction teams to win and successfully deliver multi-disciplinary projects.
* Ensure safety by design and client satisfaction.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Manage the delivery of the Principal Designer role as required by CDM regulations and the Building Safety Act.
* Lead the preparation of fee proposals and navigate bids through governance.
* Coordinate with in-house design capability leaders for effective project resourcing.
* Provide technical leadership and support to design teams, ensuring designs are safe to build and maintain.
* Promote an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought and experience is actively encouraged.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with demonstrable industry experience.
* Are a member of a relevant professional body (ICE, CIHT).
* Have experience in CDM regulations and Building Safety Act implementation.
* Are trusted to deliver what you promise, acting safely and ethically.
Working Conditions
Location: Nationwide - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available, just let us know when you speak to us.
