A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior BIM Technician to join its growing team in Cardiff.
Cardiff is a dynamic and creative capital city with ambitious growth plans and a roadmap to becoming carbon-neutral within the next decade.
As a Senior BIM Technician, you will deliver data-rich 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Revit across a diverse range of sectors, including healthcare, education, commercial, residential, and leisure.
You will be supported by experienced engineering professionals and collaborate with national digital engineering and BIM communities.
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of modelling tasks, producing high-quality Revit models and 2D outputs.
* Set up MEP project models, manage views, sheets, tags, and model health.
* Coordinate services using clash reports and resolve issues in a multi-disciplinary context.
* Review and integrate external models, producing documentation for change reviews.
* Participate in internal and external model reviews with structured feedback.
* Mentor junior team members and assist in delivering training sessions.
* Apply automation tools like Dynamo and RF Tools to project workflows.
* Support project teams using CDE systems (e.g., BIM 360 / ACC), and understand change/information management processes.
About You
You're proficient in Autodesk Revit and have practical MEP project experience. You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, organised, and capable of managing responsibilities independently while supporting project coordination efforts.
Requirements
* Proficient in Autodesk Revit (MEP focus).
* Experience with CDE systems (BIM 360 / ACC).
* Familiarity with clash detection and model coordination.
* Experience with automation tools (e.g., Dynamo).
* Able to mentor junior team members and contribute to internal initiatives.
