Your new role
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Structuring and executing trade finance transactions
* Reviewing trade finance requests from global project teams
* Structuring trade finance transactions to generate cost efficiencies, optimise credit capacity, and mitigate transactional risk
* Negotiating trade instrument wordings with banks, insurers, and beneficiaries
* Completing transactional due diligence and obtaining internal approvals
* Coordinating the execution of trade transactions with banks and insurers
* Managing the trade finance portfolio
* Recording and maintaining trade finance management reports
* Maintaining the trade instrument library
* Responding to internal trade finance requests for information
* Managing the trade finance forecasting and cancellation processes
* Managing risks associated with trade finance facilities, including FX, maturity risk, and capacity
* Creating and maintaining reports on trade finance commitments
* Understanding the business pipeline and sharing information with the wider Treasury team
* Supporting the Trade Finance Manager and Senior Treasury Management team as required
* Managing fee payments related to trade finance commitments
What you'll need to succeed
* Excellent understanding of trade finance standards (URDG 758, UCP 600, ISP98)
* Attention to detail
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Power BI
* 1-3 years' experience within a bank or insurer operations function
