Engineering Analyst – Suffolk (Hybrid Possible)
Salary: £35,000–£50,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
We’re a small, specialist engineering consultancy based near Sudbury, Suffolk, known for our technical excellence and high-impact global projects. We’re now looking for an Engineering Analyst to join our team and support a variety of exciting and complex engineering challenges using advanced numerical modelling tools.
In this role, you’ll work on major international projects, using cutting-edge software to solve complex problems and help clients reduce risk. You’ll be supported with professional development and training opportunities – including routes to Chartered Engineer and PSE (Professional Simulation Engineer) accreditation.
What You’ll Need

A degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or similar engineering discipline.

At least 2 years of relevant post-graduate experience.
*
Hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) – explicit or implicit methods.

Experience with non-linear transient dynamic simulations and material behaviour.
*
Some experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
*
You must be a UK national or have been a permanent UK resident for the past 5 years (due to security clearance requirements).
Nice to Have
*
Experience in the construction industry.
*
Understanding of blast, impact, or high strain-rate effects.
*
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
Software Experience (preferred but not essential)
*
ANSYS Mechanical – Autodyn, LS-DYNA
*
ANSYS Implicit solvers (static/transient dynamics)
*
CFD tools like Blastfoam, Viper::Blast, Air3D
*
CAD software: AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.
