Senior Data Protection & AI Governance Lawyer

Salary Up To £100,000pa + Benefits
My client, a top international law firm, is actively recruiting for a Qualified Lawyer to join them on a permanent basis in either Manchester, Birmingham or Exeter - working as their new Senior Data Protection & AI Governance Lawyer in their In-House Legal team.
As the successful Qualified Lawyer, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
* Advising on UK GDPR, PECR and global privacy regulations to senior stakeholders
* Overseeing the firms' AI governance framework
* Drafting and negotiating data processing agreements in commercial contracts
* Managing data protection and privacy matters across the UK (and internationally)
* Monitoring emerging AI legislation and assess impact

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need to have/be:
1. Be a Qualified Lawyer (5+ PQE) (ideally, England & Wales Qualified)
2. Have 4/5 years post qualification experience in Data Protection law
3. Ideally, have experience in AI governance and emerging tech regulations
4. Have strong legal drafting experience
