Location: Glossop
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay Rate: £105 per day
Contract: November 2025, Ongoing - Long Term position
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a friendly, inclusive, and vibrant school environment. This role offers the chance to develop your skills, build rewarding relationships, and make a meaningful impact every single day.
* Supporting students with SEN in the classroom, tailoring help to their individual needs
* Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and learning resources
* Providing one-to-one or small group support to help students reach their goals
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and curiosity in every child
* Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where every student feels valued
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting
* Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while taking initiative when needed
* A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for helping children learn
Requirements
* Valid DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check - or willing to apply
* Right to work in the UK
* Be able to provide professional references which cover the last 2 years
* Experience in an educational or childcare setting preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
