This is a hands-on, operational People Partner role, working closely with senior leaders to deliver pragmatic, high-impact people solutions. You’ll be a trusted advisor with the confidence and credibility to challenge constructively, influence outcomes, and support the business through complex change, including TUPE. Please note: This is a hybrid role based in our York office, with travel required across our UK sites. Partnering with leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into clear, practical people actions. Confidently influencing and challenging senior stakeholders — including pushing back where needed to manage risk and achieve better outcomes. Leading complex employee relations cases end-to-end, applying sound judgement and ensuring fair, consistent outcomes. Playing a key role in organisational change, including restructures, TUPE, consultations and workforce transitions. Supporting organisational design, workforce planning, talent and succession planning in line with business needs. Driving effective performance management through coaching leaders, supporting difficult conversations, and embedding accountability. Ensuring compliance with UK employment law, internal policies, and HR standards. Acting as a visible people lead, strengthening engagement, culture and leadership capability across the organisation. 6 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a People Partner, HRBP or senior advisory role. Strong, hands-on TUPE experience — this is essential. A confident professional presence, able to operate credibly with senior and board-level stakeholders. Proven ability to challenge constructively, influence decisions, and hold your ground when required. Solid knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practice, and HR systems. Strong judgement, communication and problem solving skills. Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, service driven environment.
