I’m supporting a long-established precision engineering manufacturer that supplies high-integrity, close-tolerance components into sectors where quality truly matters in Automotive, Aerospace, Defence and wider advanced manufacturing. Historically they’ve specialised in complex small-batch work, but they’re now moving into stable, repeat production with processes that will run for months at a time.
It’s a brilliant point to join the business. They’re strengthening their quality systems, raising expectations around “right first time” manufacturing, and investing in people who want to grow. If you enjoy structure, data, core quality tools and working closely with a senior quality leader who will actively develop you, this is a standout role.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting the shift from small-batch to stable, higher-volume manufacturing.
* Leading QSHE/ESHQ activities with a strong process focus.
* Creating and maintaining FMEAs, Control Plans, control provisions, and work instructions.
* Managing control validation (SPC & MSA) to ensure robust, capable processes.
* Interpreting validation data and presenting clear, objective insights to support decision-making.
* Handling exceptions, containment, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
* Supporting FAIRs, NCR management and continuous improvement activity.
* Working closely with the Senior Quality Manager and gaining exposure across EH&S.
1. What We’re Looking For
* Experience in APQP within a volume automotive setting or similarly structured environment.
* Strong understanding of the core Quality Tools: FMEA, APQP, Control Plans, MSA, SPC.
* Exposure to regulated manufacturing (Aerospace, Medical, high-precision machining) is highly beneficial.
* Someone who enjoys structured, process-driven quality work and can adapt to higher throughput.
* Confident analysing data and presenting it clearly and without bias.
* A proactive mindset, keen to develop new skills and continuously improve processes.
Why Join?
* Opportunity to influence and strengthen quality systems during a key growth phase.
* Close mentorship and collaboration with the Senior Quality Manager.
* Genuine development into EH&S and wider quality leadership.
* A stable, well-respected precision engineering business with a forward-thinking approach.
