About the role As a Hotel Leisure Assistant within the Front of House department, you will be an integral part of the hotel team, dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences through outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in the summer operation of Ambleside Park, serving food and beverages and ensuring the efficient and profitable running of the department. Ambleside Park, it’s our Place in the Lakes. Set on the banks of Lake Windermere in the Lake District, it’s a 24 bedroom haven to get away, explore and maybe even be inspired like the great writers and artists of the past. Pay Rate - £13.00 per hour Contract type - Permanent Location - Ambleside Park, Cumbria Hours - Full time hours, across seven days with various shift times to include mornings, evenings and weekends between the hours of 07:00 am and 23:00pm Live in option available You’ll be surrounded by a team of passionate and dedicated hospitality Partners to give our guests the best experience possible. With all of the National Trust park to explore, whether walking on their own or on a guided tour, whizzing about on a mountain bike trail or visiting local craft shops, you can guarantee that our guests will be hungry and looking to recharge with the fantastic food offering we give them. Key Responsibilities Interacting with guests, sharing product knowledge on drinks and food., while taking orders, checking back, and assisting with queries, clearing down and setting tables, as per operational standards Liaising with the kitchen team Upholding all policies and standards of food hygiene and cleanliness, including the completion of daily and weekly cleaning schedules Payment handling in accordance with hotel standards. Correct use of PPE. Supporting the implementation of changes to ensure continuous innovations and improvements are made within the department. Assisting other departments within the hotel when required. Development of personal knowledge of food and drinks, allergen awareness and confidently dealing with guest allergen queries. Essential skills you'll need Self-motivated and industrious, with a natural flair for guest service and a keen interest in hospitality. Basic knowledge of IT & POS systems and able to use standard software. Excellent communication skills Desirable skills you'll need Proven experience of the hospitality industry is desirable.
