Finishing Manager – Care Home Development
Location: Croydon, South London
Duration: 3 Months (Contract)
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as available
Rate: Competitive (dependent on experience)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finishing Manager to support the final phase of a care home development project in Croydon. This is a short-term contract role focused on delivering a high-quality finish ahead of project completion and handover.
Role Overview
You will take responsibility for managing all finishing trades on site, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard, within programme deadlines, and in line with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all finishing works including joinery, decorating, flooring, and final fixtures
* Manage subcontractors and coordinate daily site activities during the finishing phase
* Carry out snagging inspections and ensure timely close-out of defects
* Maintain high quality standards across all areas of the build
* Work closely with the Site and Project Manager to meet handover deadlines
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
* Assist with client inspections and final handover process
Requirements
* Proven experience working as a Finishing Manager on residential or healthcare projects
* Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality finishes
* Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certification
