Nursery Room Leader Level 3 – Cheslyn Hay Primary Academy
Cheslyn Hay Primary Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Room Leader to lead and manage our Little Lanterns provision for 2‑year‑olds, part of our school nursery. This is an exciting new provision launching in January 2026, and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work closely with the EYFS Phase Leader and the Senior Leadership Team to help set up and shape the provision from the ground up.
Key responsibilities:
* Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the provision, delivering high‑quality sessions, and supporting team members through observation and guidance.
* Lead by example and promote an outstanding provision that meets the needs of all children.
Qualifications and experience:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in childcare (essential).
* Post‑qualified experience working with children aged 0–11 years.
* Training in safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid.
* Thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Knowledge of OFSTED standards (essential).
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
* Understanding of Health and Safety legislation.

Position details:
Grade 6 – £27,254 – £30,024 FTE (actual salary £23,667 – £26,072)

To commence January 2026
32.5 hours per week, 39.2 working weeks per year
