We're in an exciting growth phase, with a Marketing Director building a strong inbound engine and a Partnerships Director developing a network of referral and reseller partners. Now, we need a hands-on Business Development Manager to own the sales pipeline, close deals, and help shape our future sales process.
The Role
We're looking for a driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to play a key role in accelerating MotorTech AI's growth.
This isn't a "maintenance" role — it's for a hunter with tenacity, resilience, and the ability to open doors in a competitive market.
Unlike many traditional sales roles, you won't be working in isolation. You'll have support from marketing campaigns, events, and partnerships. Your focus will be to generate opportunities, guide prospects through the sales cycle, and convert them into long-term customers.
This is a full-cycle sales role where you will:
* Close deals from inbound and partnership-generated leads.
* Run targeted outbound to high-value prospects.
* Ensure no opportunities are lost through effective pipeline management.
As you prove success, you'll have the opportunity to shape the sales playbook and eventually grow into a leadership role — but first and foremost, you'll be expected to personally drive revenue.
Key ResponsibilitiesPipeline & Revenue Ownership
* Own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to signed contract.
* Close inbound and referral deals while proactively generating new opportunities.
* Consistently follow up with warm leads and maintain an accurate, up-to-date pipeline.
* Hit and exceed KPIs around meetings booked, opportunities created, and revenue closed.
Prospecting & Outreach
* Identify, research, and engage potential clients in the automotive retail sectors.
* Execute targeted outreach via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and events.
* Leverage marketing-generated leads and partner referrals to maximize efficiency.
Process Building & Collaboration
* Collaborate with Marketing and Partnerships to optimize lead flow and conversion rates.
* Track performance metrics and report on pipeline health and revenue forecasts.
* Contribute to the development of our sales playbook, including messaging and objection handling.
Market Insight
* Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activity, and dealership challenges.
* Share insights with internal teams to refine product positioning and marketing strategies.

* Track record of hitting or exceeding quotas and KPIs.

KPIs & Performance Metrics
Your performance will be measured on:
* Monthly revenue closed (primary KPI) — with a focus on converting annual contracts.
