Job Opportunity: Senior Family Solicitor (Head of Department)


Location: North Ayrshire


Overview:

A respected and long-standing law firm in North Ayrshire is looking to appoint an experienced Family Solicitor to lead its Family Law department. The firm has an excellent reputation for providing trusted advice across the region and is seeking someone who can manage a diverse caseload while supporting the continued growth of the department.


Role Requirements:

Experience:

* Scottish qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE in family law
* Experienced in handling a wide range of matters including divorce, child contact and residence, cohabitation disputes, financial provision and guardianship
* Advocacy experience in Sheriff Court and Court of Session
* Confident in working with both Legal Aid and private clients
* Supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Skills:

* Capable of managing complex cases independently and efficiently
* Clear and empathetic communication with clients and colleagues
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Commercial awareness with an interest in business development and networking
* Supportive and approachable leadership style
