Role Summary

1. Responsibilities: You will use your technical and scientific expertise to deliver free, impactful healthcare communications and support to charities and non-profit organisations across diverse projects and disease areas
2. Salary: £39,000 per annum

4. Role Type: Full time, permanent
5. Start Date: The role will ideally commence in February or March 2026, and you will be asked to state your availability on your application form

7. Location: This role is available in our Global Headquarters in Cambridge, as well as our London, Manchester and Bristol offices

About the Role

Working in our Pro Bono team offers a unique opportunity that many other healthcare communications agencies don't provide - delivering services free of charge to charities and not-for-profit organisations. In 2024 alone, we contributed 2,554 days of support to a range of health-focused non-profit organisations, which we are currently on track to exceed in 2025. This work advances our mission in promoting health by collaborating with organisations who may not otherwise have access to the skills and expertise that we provide.

We provide our full range of services on pro bono basis, collaborating across teams and offices to deliver the best expertise for project needs. As a Pro Bono Analyst, you will gain skills to support projects in health economics, literature reviews, medical writing, publications, medical education, and design materials.

Whilst your “home” team will be Pro Bono, you will work across commercial and pro bono projects with colleagues in all our service areas. Being based in Pro Bono specifically will ensure that you become quickly integrated into part of a supportive team and feel fully immersed in all aspects of company life.

Key responsibilities will include:

8. Creating materials for different audiences, often for patients, their carers or healthcare professionals
9. Working on several projects in different disease areas at any one time
10. Supporting commercial projects to gain relevant experience for your professional development
11. Working in project teams alongside experienced colleagues
12. Close collaboration with clients, including participating in teleconferences and face-to-face meetings with external stakeholders
13. Supporting with a range of internal activities linked to the Pro Bono team. For example, preparing business development materials, identifying potential networking opportunities and monitoring our pro bono work

At the same time, we recognise that homeworking can improve work life balance, reduce commuting times and costs, and provide the opportunity to juggle personal commitments. Therefore, we offer flexible working arrangements that allow our colleagues who have passed probation to work from home up to half their time, measured across a 2-week rolling period. During your probationary period (normally the first 6 months of the role), you will be able to work from home 1 day per week.

About You

Essential requirements for the role are:

20. An undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in a scientific discipline; postgraduate qualifications are a plus
21. Strong scientific writing skills, gained in an academic or professional setting (, reports, publications, proposals)
22. A passion for working closely with not-for-profit and charity organisations on a wide range of project types
23. A genuine interest in healthcare and enthusiasm for learning
24. Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and organisational skills
25. Outstanding written and verbal communication, with the ability to adapt your communication style for varied audiences
26. Proactivity and a collaborative nature
27. Self-awareness, with the desire for continuous professional development
28. A commitment to quality, innovation and integrity
29. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

The Application Process
