Mechanical Project Manager / Contracts Manager – Live Environment Projects – London & South East
£70,000 – £85,000 + Package. We are recruiting on behalf of an established M&E contractor that delivers technically complex mechanical projects across the commercial, healthcare, and education sectors. They are looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Manager / Contracts Manager to lead multiple live environment projects, with a focus on operating in occupied spaces and building strong client relationships while delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities
* Lead mechanical works across multiple live environment projects from pre-construction through to handover
* Manage day-to-day site activities, subcontractors, and in-house teams to ensure smooth project delivery
* Oversee health & safety, compliance, procurement, and commercial performance
* Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams
* Work within active environments such as schools, hospitals, or office buildings with minimal disruption
* Support in forecasting, resource planning, and contract administration
* Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
What you’ll need
* Previous experience managing mechanical packages in live environments
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities
* Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
* Background working with an M&E or mechanical contractor
* Sound understanding of HVAC, public health systems, and building services
* SMSTS / SSSTS and valid CSCS card preferred
