We are an ambitious start‑up media agency based in Leeds. We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Account Executive to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about building a successful agency from the ground up.
We are looking for someone who is confident working hands‑on with digital channels such as paid social and search, but who also has the ambition to develop a broad understanding of the full media landscape. The ideal candidate is curious, open‑minded, and motivated to learn how different media disciplines connect to deliver stronger outcomes for clients.
The Role
The Account Executive assists the Manager/AD to ensure client briefs are planned and activated to a high standard in an efficient, timely manner. The range of tasks includes competitive analysis, research requests, monitoring of campaign delivery, performance and optimisation, and a solid understanding of all buying processes and routes to value.
The Account Executive must focus on improving and deepening in‑channel knowledge, communicate clearly, listen actively, and ask thoughtful questions. They oversee the smooth output and running of all admin duties, either directly or by coordinating any assistants in the team.
Responsibilities
* Support the planning and delivery of digital media activity by contributing research, insight gathering, and initial channel recommendations.
* Help prepare strategy decks and planning documents, ensuring all information is accurate and clearly presented.
* Assist with collecting, organising, and analysing campaign performance data; update and maintain reporting dashboards and templates.
* Use data to spot basic performance patterns and contribute observations that help inform optimisation decisions made by senior team members.
* Stay curious about new tools, platforms, and technologies; share relevant updates with the team.
* Support the setup and testing of new processes or automation tools where required.
* Help gather research, prepare slides, and coordinate documents for pitches.
* Assist senior team members in shaping proposal materials and ensure all information is well presented and delivered on time.
* Support the day‑to‑day management of client accounts by ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
* Help prepare client updates, status reports, and meeting materials.
* Join client calls and meetings to take notes and follow up on actions.
* Work closely with colleagues across the agency, contributing positively to a collaborative and supportive environment.
* Assist newer or more junior colleagues with basic processes or tools as experience grows.
* Be proactive, organised, and ready to adapt in a fast‑moving environment.

* Develop a good understanding of client strategy and be able to assess and contribute executional ideas.
Planning & Buying Skills
* Identify insights through research and analysis that can feed client strategy.
* Demonstrate a full understanding of the media planning process.
* Experience of online and offline media channels, enabling development of client‑specific media plans across all channels.
* Set and meet budgeting targets of approved media plans.
* Ensure smooth implementation and delivery of campaigns, alerting line manager to any under‑delivery or issues.
* Proficient in managing and optimising all media campaigns to deliver against targets.
* Deliver daily/weekly/monthly campaign reporting sheets showing insight and potential trends or discrepancies.
* Interpret competition and other research data.
* Understand client objectives and campaign KPIs and how we measure against them.
* Participate in meetings and contribute to the writing and presentation of client plans.
Qualifications
* 2+ years’ experience in media planning with a clear understanding of digital and non‑digital channels.
* Knowledge of appropriate desktop research and planning tools (e.g. Nielsen, YouGov, TGI, Touchpoints, Google Analytics).
* Demonstrated time‑management and multitasking skills.
* Solid collaborative and team‑work oriented skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, developing presentation skills.
* Attention to detail, accuracy and mathematical competency.
* Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise effectively.
* Strong appetite for learning and improving knowledge and skills.
* Interest in exploring automation workflows and implementing new technologies to improve efficiency and performance.
