Global FMCG manufacturing business require a Procurement Supervisor. Applicants need both strategic and operational procurement expertise, experience of or the ability to manage Buyers and comfort working in a matrix environment.
The Procurement Supervisor will essentially operate as a Procurement Manager leading all site based procurement activities (direct and indirect), operational and strategic while collaborating with global procurement colleagues across the matrix.
Specific duties of the Procurement Supervisor / Procurement Manager include:
Lead, supervise, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
Ensure continuity of supply based on demand planning and inventory levels.
Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic sourcing and long-term agreements.
Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships and performance reviews.
Identify alternative sourcing options and support change management activities.
Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor supplier markets, conduct audits, and maintain procurement compliance.
Support the development of procurement policies, best practices, and systems.
Procurement Supervisor / Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
Experience at Procurement Manager, Procurement Supervisor, Procurement Team Leader or Senior Buyer level
Procurement experience within a global, matrix structured business within; manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceuticals or FMCG
MRP/ERP literacy - Oracle, BAAN, SAP, AX etc.
Ability to manage suppliers in commercial negotiations and operational delivery OTD/OTIF etc.
Experience/ability to use data to drive procurement decisions
