The Purchase Ledger Controller will manage and maintain an efficient and up to date ledger, ensuring suppliers are paid on time. Supporting the Finance team this role shall achieve the highest standards in all accounting areas, and will assist the Group Finanical Controller with ad hoc finance projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
•To process, post and code all supplier invoices in Sage, managing all purchase ledger activity across several revenue streams
•To produce a list of suggested payments for authorisation weekly, taking into consideration terms and due dates
•To reconcile supplier accounts and cross check to supplier statements
•To accurately allocated costs across the different departments and sites
•To assist with ad hoc projects, to enhance the purchase ledger function
•To oversee the petty cash function and check the reconciliations monthly
•To ensure that all relevant invoices are posted and included for the month end deadline
•To strive for continuous improvement in all areas relating to the finance department

Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
To be considered you shall be fully rehearsed within ledger management and ideally AAT qualified. An experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk you shall have experince working with finance systems, Sage experience is preferred but not essential. With time served experince processing detailed and high volume ledgers you shall also have experience of detailed petty cash and cash handling. With nominal ledger experience you shall be able to deliver accuracy and have a strong attention to detail.
