Commercial Vehicle Technician
Location: Immingham
Schedule: Mon - Fri (0700 - 1700) (1300-2300) Alternate Saturday Morning (0700-1200)
Responsibilities
* Carry out periodic safety inspections on commercial vehicles and trailers to DVSA inspection manual standards.
* Prepare (and present where appropriate licence held) commercial vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspections.
* Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
* Carry out welding, fabrication and body repairs as required.
* Attend broken down or accident damaged vehicles and effect permanent or temporary repairs as required.
* Carry out scheduled service work as per manufacturers guidelines.
* Maintain accurate records of each repair performed ensuring that all statistics and legal information are produced, and workshop computer systems updated.
* Collaborate with supervisors/management to plan repairs and maintenance with regular updates on progress.
* Ensure all relevant legislation along with health and safety procedures are adhered to.
* Maintain work areas in a safe and clean condition.
* Attend all required training courses.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in relation to the position.
* Computer literate.
* Good understanding of English language.
