Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a supportive environment for those in need.
Duties
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support individuals in following their personalised care plans, ensuring all needs are met effectively.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their transportation needs are met.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients as needed.
* Strong command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using digital communication tools.
