Job Description
On behalf of our client, a leading global law firm, we are seeking an experienced patent professional to support a team of five attorneys in London as they launch and grow their patent prosecution practice.
This is a high-impact role suited to a driven, self-starting professional who thrives on autonomy and takes ownership. You will bring advanced knowledge of EP, HK and international patent procedures, and be confident managing complex multi-jurisdictional filings independently.
Key Responsibilities (summary):
* Manage end-to-end patent administration, including PCT, EP, HK and other international filings, national phase entries and foreign applications.
* Monitor incoming correspondence, calculate and record deadlines, and maintain accurate docketing systems.
* Prepare, review and file applications and related documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Oversee annuity payments and maintain relevant official accounts, including EPO deposit accounts.
* Produce regular deadline and portfolio reports for attorneys and clients.
* Support the onboarding and transfer of patent and trade mark portfolios.
* Maintain and improve docketing systems and processes, identifying efficiencies and implementing best practice.
* Provide guidance and training to junior team members and act as a deputy to the IP Manager when required.

The firm are offering a starting salary of up to £70,000 with 80/20 office/home split.
