As a Road Freight Account Manager, your roles and responsibilities will include:
* Owning a portfolio of client accounts and monitoring client freight needs
* Upselling services and solutions to drive volume
* Conducting regular reviews to identify opportunities, address issues and ensure satisfaction
* Identifying and qualifying new business through cold-calling, email, networking & CRM tools
* Creating tailored proposals and quotes for prospective clients
* Developing strategic account plans, set sales targets, and forecast performance
* Tracking progress against KPIs; reporting on pipeline, revenue, and client health
We’re looking for a Road Freight Account Manager, with the following skills and experience:
* Ideally at least 2 years’ experience in road freight/logistics
* At least 2 years’ experience in sales and/or account management
* Ability to identify and develop new opportunities
* Strong track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Strong negotiation and problem-solving ability
* Self‑motivated & proactive with the drive to work independently
In return, the successful Road Freight Account Manager will receive a salary up to £35,000 with an OTE of £55,000 (plus uncapped commission), plus the following benefits:
