Job Description: Aspiring Finance Manager
Location: Chippenham
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time, permanent
About Us
Bridge Contract Interiors is part of the Beaufort Holdings Group, alongside Balco Global. We specialise in high-quality interior window solutions for healthcare, commercial, and residential clients. As our Group continues to grow, we are looking for an Aspiring Finance Manager who is eager to take ownership of day-to-day finance and develop into a senior leadership role.
The Role
This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for someone early in their finance career who is ambitious, qualified (or nearly qualified), and ready for the challenge of supporting a growing group of businesses.
You will report directly to the Managing Director and play a key role in managing the financial health of Bridge Contract Interiors and Balco Global while also overseeing cashflow and reporting across the wider Beaufort Holdings Group. The position blends bookkeeping, management accounting, and commercial finance exposure — making it a rare opportunity to develop quickly into a true Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate bookkeeping, ledgers, and reconciliations for Bridge Contract Interiors.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for review by the Managing Director.
* Oversee and manage cashflow across the Group, ensuring funds are used effectively.
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Provide analysis and insight to support decision-making and business growth.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants.
* Implement improvements to processes, reporting, and financial controls.
* Support the Managing Director with ad hoc projects, group finance reporting, and commercial initiatives.
About You
We are looking for someone who combines technical skill with commercial awareness, and who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves with bookkeeping while also stepping up to advise on higher-level financial matters.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Part-qualified, newly qualified, or finalist in ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent).
* Solid understanding of bookkeeping and management accounting.
* Strong grasp of cashflow management and financial controls.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Confident communicator with the ability to work directly with directors and operational teams.
* Proactive, ambitious, and ready to grow into a senior role.
Desirable:
* Experience in interiors, construction, or project-based industries.
* Knowledge of Sage, Xero, or other accounting systems.
* Prior exposure to group-level reporting.
What We Offer
* Direct reporting line to the Managing Director, offering exposure and influence at the highest level.
* A blended role covering both day-to-day finance and strategic cashflow management.
* The opportunity to grow into a Finance Manager role within a dynamic and supportive Group.
* Competitive salary and benefits package.
* Professional development and study support (if required).
* A varied and hands-on role where your work will directly shape the success of the business.
