The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to take a pivotal role in the successful execution of a large-scale capital project with a value in excess of £500 million. You will be instrumental in leading the construction phase, ensuring alignment with project objectives, regulatory compliance, and safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the construction of a major infrastructure project from planning through execution.
* Provide strategic guidance to the Project Director, ensuring compliance with all relevant UK legislation and regulations.
* Champion and implement the Construction Quality Management System throughout the project lifecycle.
* Drive coordination across all disciplines and ensure construction activities are aligned with project milestones and deliverables.
* Develop and maintain a project-wide Sustainability Program, integrating subcontractors and supply chain partners.
* Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring the highest HSE standards are upheld across all site activities.
* Facilitate effective collaboration between contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements
* Proven track record delivering large-scale projects with budgets exceeding £500 million.
* Extensive experience in sectors such as construction, chemical, petrochemical, mining, rail, refinery, or nuclear.
* Strong knowledge of UK construction legislation, permitting, and regulatory frameworks.
* Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* A strategic leader with outstanding communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
