Ashley Kate is excited to be recruiting for our well-established manufacturing client to cover a period of Maternity Leave. They are seeking a HR Manager/Business Partner to be based at their Melton site (hybrid) for a minimum of 12 months.
About the Role
The role reports to the global HR Director, with one direct report, and works alongside a wider HR team. The successful candidate will partner with the senior leadership team and various stakeholders within the business, managing the overall HR function. This fast-paced, unionised environment offers both strategic and operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop HR strategy and initiatives in collaboration with Directors
2. Support and guide Managers and Directors on day-to-day HR issues and employee relations
3. Review, develop, and implement policies, procedures, and processes
4. Manage talent and succession planning
5. Lead recruitment and selection activities
6. Manage change projects related to business restructuring, redundancies, and consultations
7. Analyze HR metrics and report to SMT
8. Oversee payroll processes
9. Handle union negotiations and communications
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for an experienced HR Manager or Business Partner from a blue-collar background, with experience leading change projects and planning. The role requires a hands-on approach, so you should be willing to get involved at all levels. Building relationships and working with all levels of the business with a people-focused mindset is essential. Candidates should be CIPD qualified or working towards it. The role is based at the Melton site with occasional travel to other local sites.
