Senior Surveyor

We are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in the North West for an experienced Senior Surveyor to join their Asset Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a property professional to take on a varied, strategic role helping manage and optimise a significant public sector estate.
The Senior Surveyor will lead on property disposals, acquisitions, valuations, and estate management-ensuring assets are used efficiently, legally, and in line with long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Surveyor:
* Manage the disposal of surplus land and buildings
* Support the acquisition of sites for new schemes and developments
* Provide valuations for capital and revenue accounting
* Oversee the commercial and non-commercial property portfolio
* Review property use and identify development opportunities
* Supervise a junior surveyor and liaise with internal departments and external partners
* Contribute to asset planning, service improvements, and policy development
Requirements of the Senior Surveyor:
* Solid background in estates, property, or valuation (public sector experience an advantage)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
