Looking for a Financial Controller to join the team within an Investment Management firm, supporting the wider finance function, investment team, and the MD.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and supervise the accounting processes, working in partnership with external SPV administrators and accounting firms to produce accurate and timely information, focusing on:
2. Quarterly accounts and investor reporting;
3. Monitor and review transactions including capital calls, distribution calculations, and notices;
4. Review management fee and carry calculations;
5. Manage receivables and payables for SPV entities;
6. Assist with forecasting liquidity requirements for SPV entities;
7. Ensure robust controls around cash movements from SPVs, including collaboration with asset and property managers to monitor and report cash flows related to properties;
8. Maintain, establish, and implement financial and information reporting systems, ensuring compliance with reporting frameworks (e.g., IFRS, FRS102) and relevant legislation;
9. Develop an understanding of investment holding structures and ensure proper maintenance;
10. Coordinate with SPV administrators, accounting firms, and auditors for timely completion of annual audits, providing support throughout and reviewing financial statements;
11. Ensure investors receive timely financial information and reports;
12. Collaborate with Asset/Property Managers on financial and compliance matters concerning Management Company group entities;
13. Supervise external accounting firms in preparing quarterly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and tax returns;
14. Provide transaction and deal support.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a top university, ideally in Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering, Economics, or related disciplines;
2. 0-2 years PQE working for an investment manager or advisory firm, with some experience in real estate.
