Job Title: Trainee Medical Administrator – 37 hours p/week
Location: Old Machar Medical Practice, Aberdeen Reports to: Office Manager
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Medical Administrator to support the administrative functions of our busy medical practice. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in a professional healthcare environment, assisting with clerical duties and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and photocopying documents.
* Handle incoming calls and direct inquiries to appropriate staff members.
* Maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
* Support reception staff during busy periods, including greeting patients and scheduling appointments.
* Process incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting and distributing correspondence.
* Assist in preparing reports, letters, and other documentation.
* Undertake any additional tasks as required by the management team.
Key Requirements
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* High attention to detail and confidentiality.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
