Join AXA Insurance as a key part of our Financial Planning and Analysis team, where you'll play a role in shaping the financial success of our business. In this role, you'll assist in co-ordinating our strategic planning and rolling forecasts, help drive continuous improvements in financial management information and assist in the production of insightful reporting on financial results and KPIs. You will have insight into the entire P&L, so If you're passionate about finance and leveraging financial data, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact at AXA Insurance. 

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

* Assist the FP&A Manager in the financial planning process – Consolidating the entire P&L and producing reports for finance stakeholders. Exposure to premium, claims, levies, reinsurance and expenses as well as IFRS17 and discounting.
* Assist in the group reporting at forecast – ensuring the entire P&L is entered in the group reporting system Magnitude in an accurate and timely manner.
* Business Partnering with Reinsurance and Actuarial to understand key drivers and movements within discounting, prior year movements and peril allocation under IFRS17.
* Involvement in the cashflow process, producing a forecast and analysing results to identify gaps between actual performance and targets.
* Develop dynamic financial MI and analysis using Anaplan and PowerBI to provide clear insights into performance drivers being adaptable to different stakeholder requirements. 
* Monthly performance reporting for the entire P&L both within Anaplan and powerBI – providing analysis as required.
* Responsibility for Large Loss reporting and associated group submission
* Deputise for the FP&A Manager to deliver ad-hoc analysis to support business planning. 

What you'll bring:

* Part qualified accountant with at least 2 years' experience. 
* Relevant experience within an insurance organisation or suitable relevant experience to an equivalent level of competence ideally within financial planning and reporting environment 
* Knowledge of financial/accounting processes and understanding of accounting principles – IFRS17 and discounting is desirable
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and Anaplan, with a willingness to embrace continuous improvement and powerBI developments. 
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure around key deliverables.   

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
