Director of English, Literacy and Reading Permanent, 1.0 FTE Salary Range : M1 - UPS3 £32,916 - £51,048 FTE plus TLR 1C (£14,867) Start date- September 2026 We are excited to advertise a new leadership role within The Joseph Whitaker School. This post has faculty and whole school leadership responsibilities, providing an opportunity for someone to take up a significant lead role in the strategic development of the English faculty and the wider school, with respect to literacy and reading. The successful applicant will be a talented classroom teacher of English and experienced leader with the ability to ensure that all students are able to fulfil their potential and benefit from a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment. The role includes line management responsibility for the Head of English and other colleagues as well as working across the school to drive improvements in literacy and reading development.
