Job Title: Kitchen Porter
Salary: £21,900 - £25,950
Location: Cambridge
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week
Core hours are Monday to Friday (sociable hours)
About the role
We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge. This role supports the day-to-day running of the stores and logistics, ensuring data related to the stores is accurate and up to date. You will help maintain the highest standards to sustain customer satisfaction and uphold our high Health & Safety standards. You will be responsible for the daily cleaning of the kitchen and stores.
Responsibilities
* Assist Senior Kitchen Porter with receiving and storing deliveries.
* Maintain a high standard of food hygiene and cleanliness.
* Work with catering staff to set up servery and display counters.
* Ensure all areas and catering equipment are clean at all times.
* Training on our cleaning procedures will be given to maintain high standards.
About you
The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy catering or hospitality environment, ideally some kitchen porter experience, but this is not essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude while working in a pressured environment.
